Well, looks like we've made our last trip for a few months now. We went to visit Jon's folks in Ipswich and had ourselves a rather nice time. Other than going to "Sidewalk Days" in Gloucester where there was a "puppet parade" consisting of a lot of artsy fartsy whackos banging their drums and tamborines and the most gigantic scary looking 12-ft puppet I've ever seen that scared Maggie to the point of wanting to LEAVE and flipping out every time we left the sidewalk to cross through the street (which is where said parade occurred afterall).... it was a lovely weekend. Poor thing, she is still talking about that darn freak show puppet. She'll say... "I don't have to be scared of puppet?" totally out of the blue. Fortunately, Jack was unawares and completely enjoyed the event. But, we did have a few new experiences with the kids. We took Mags on her first canoe ride on the Ipswich River since Memere's (that's Jon's mom to the kids) house is right on the water. And Jack had his first time in a pool and not his official first time at the beach, but his first time IN the ocean itself. I'm posting a few pics here and will post more later when I can those others off Jon's phone...

Jack's first time in the pool... he didn't much enjoy the cool water but otherwise partook in much splashing.

Ipswich River from Memere's backyard

She has more pizzazz in her little chin than most people have all together.

Hunting for frogs in the brook

Don't let her fool you... she is not that innocent.

This is what Jack was doing during all those pics of us with Maggie...
